Kati and Matthew are one of the sweetest couples I know. They're both so laid back and relaxed, but still fun! We had a great time shooting their engagement session in Boone, NC and on the Appalachian State campus! I was thrilled to find out they planned on multiple outfits and a few props... I love when my couples incorporate stuff that makes the shoot more personal.
We started at the place on App's campus where Matthew proposed. There was some debate about which specific rock they were sitting on and what exact words were said, but look how happy they are just sitting and talking with each other.
I love this one on the stairs. They are so into each other they look like they don't even know I'm there!
We found a location by the daycare at App... I think all the chalk scribbles are cute!
Freckles are my favorite. They make me think of summer because that's when mine come out :) Matthew has great freckles, don't you agree?
I never paint my nails anymore but Kati's dramatic nail color made me want to again!
The kids at the daycare were giving us funny looks when we found a piece of chalk on the ground and had some fun with it :)
We stepped inside Matthew and Katie's favorite place to eat, Black Cat Burrito, to shoot for a few minutes... The owner was totally surprised but excited that we wanted to shoot there.
Last stop was the graffiti tunnel. I LOVE this place! Anyone can take paint in there and do whatever they want, it made a great backdrop to play with bubbles!
Kati and Matthew "got their start" at the beach and brought this beach ball and sunglasses as props. So cute!
Kati & Matthew, you guys are great. Can't wait to shoot your wedding in December!
