Mia + Rivers' Wedding!
This is a wedding that I got to second-shoot for Jessica Benton, a good friend and former classmate from photography school. I love photographing weddings on my own, but second-shooting is so fun!
Mia & Rivers got married at Snipes Farm in Chapel Hill, NC. It's beautiful, and quaint, and so sweet there! I loved being able to help Jessica capture this special event. Enjoy the images!

I love that Mia wore cowboy boots with her dress. It was so cute!

These are my favorite flowers! They come in a bunch of different colors and stay alive for a long time. My husband got me some for my birthday last week :)

I love this sweet moment with Mia and her (almost) father-in-law!

I got to hang out with the guys before the ceremony and love the images that came out of it! They totally weren't paying attention to the camera and that's when the best moments come out.

I love how Mia's face is reflected in the window.

These masks were a wedding gift from one of the bridesmaids (I think!).

Everyone loved them except the baby. I think he was scared.

Me and Jessica were in love with this huge tree. It was so fun to work with.

Rivers and Mia gave us alot of time to shoot romantics. And we were able to get so many different shots because of it.

This is my favorite of Mia. It's so dreamy and soft!

Jennifer & Chris' Wedding! : Revolution Mills Studios
This is the third wedding I've shot at Revolution Mills in less than a month and yet it still turned out different and beautiful. I love the challenge of shooting at the same place and getting different results! It was easy with this wedding. Jennifer & Chris put so much thought and detail into their wedding and making sure their guests had a great time. It was a joy to shoot!
Other good things to mention are :
* Veronica Foster from Behind the Scenes, Inc wedding planning. She was there the entire day and did a fantastic job of coordinating everything and making the wedding run smoothly.
* The bride! Jennifer is a true DIY bride and did floral arrangements, centerpieces, and other details herself. It all looked perfect.

Jennifer was such a calm bride and it really shows through in this photo!

I love the white dahlias in the bridal bouquet from the Farmers Wife florist.

I was so excited that Jennifer wanted to do some portraits on the train tracks. We didn't get to stay out for long but it was still good.

Lookin good, Chris!

I love that Jennifer had both parents walk her down the aisle. It was so sweet, everyone was tearing up!

Jennifer's maid of honor sang a sweet song with musician Gary Mitchell during the ceremony.

The bride and groom had been practicing their first dance and wanted to go over it one more time before the grand entrance.

This gorgeous cake was created by Cakes by Manfred.

Culinary Visions catered some delicious dinner.

I love this guest book that asked for advice for the newlyweds. There were some funny notes from guests.

Jennifer and Chris had Zandra Gomez, a caricature artist, drawing during the reception. The guests loved it! It was so fun to see everyone's reactions to their finished portrait.

The band Walrus kept the dance floor going.

I asked to do some more shots of Jennifer's rings during the reception. This one was her idea! I love the way it turned out.

These guys had the best reaction to their caricature. They laughed for a solid minute before even showing anyone else.

Congratulations Chris & Jennifer!

Katie & Lee's Engagement Session : Magnolia Manor
I knew that would like working with them when Lee asked to be my Facebook friend right after Katie booked me as their wedding photographer. And I was right! I loved shooting with Katie and Lee. They're so sweet and fun and goofy in the "I'm totally in love and don't care what it looks like" kind of way. We started shooting at Magnolia Manor where Katie and Lee are tying the knot in May.

I love how their eyes complement each other.

Funny story. I had Katie and Lee sit under this tree and squirrels kept running up and down right behind them. That was scary enough but that experience was topped by the squirrel falling off the tree from 15 feet up and landing right beside Katie! The squirrel was ok and we found another place to shoot after that.

Katie has the best laugh.

After Magnolia Manor, we went down the street to Triad Park for some fun stuff.

Which ring shot do you like better?

I think I like seeing the blue sky behind this one.

One of my favorites from the session... the sun was beautiful right then.

We had their dog, Jack, join us for the end of the session. Isn't he a cutie? He liked me at first but then decided not to after I kept putting a camera in his face.

You guys are great... can't wait for your wedding in May!

Kristin + Spence's Wedding
Oh, I can't wait to show you these images. I feel like I've become friends with Kristin, Spence and their families after all of our meetings, the engagement session, and bridal session, so it was super fun to shoot their wedding and get to hang out with everyone again!
We ended up with a gorgeous October afternoon with some beautiful light. It was perfect! The ceremony was so sweet and Anything Music DJ's kept the party pumping at the reception! Now, on to the images...

I love finding little details like this tag stuck in the bouquet. Flowers by Designs North Florist.

Kristin added so many special, personal touches to her bridal ensemble. The picture in the locket at the top is of Kristin's great-grandmother who passed away this year. I love that Kristin chose to honor and remember her by tucking this locket into her bouquet.

The picture on the left is my favorite. The hands in the image belong to Kristin, her mom, and her sister. It's so sweet!

The bride and her girls! They looked so great.

Some of my favorite pictures are of the bride and groom reading notes from each other on the wedding day.

So many Converse shoes!

Alaina stayed at the back and grabbed some images of the bride right as she started coming down the aisle.

This image kept making me tear up while I was editing. The look of pride on Kristin's dad's face is so cute. He is just beaming!

This gorgeous cake came from Ganache Bakery.

The guest book from Spence and Kristin's engagement session turned out great!

Such a model couple, seriously.

The food from CaterFest was delicious!

Kristin's brother played and sang the song for the father-daughter dance.

Congratulations, guys!

Kristin + Spence are married! : Sneak peek
Kristin and Spence got married last Sunday on another beautiful day at Revolution Mills Studios. I'm still working on the edit but thought I'd share a couple of favorites. Stay tuned for more!

All the guys in the wedding wore Converse shoes. I saw this tag sitting on the counter and thought it'd be a cute ring shot. I love the light reflecting on the counter, too!

Another favorite... we stole away from the reception for a little bit to do some romantics right at sunset.
