Anna's Sneak Peek. A Senior Session.

This is a sneak peek from Anna's senior session that we shot last week. We were so close to being rained out but ended up being able to shoot our entire session before the skies opened up. Yay!

This shot was taken during the couple of minutes that it was raining and the sun came through at the same time. I love the little sparkles that the raindrops made in the background. It made for some of the most beautiful light I've ever seen. Plus, Anna is just straight gorgeous.

Lisa + Lynn. Just Because.

If you've been following this blog for a long time, you may remember Ashelyn's Senior Session from last year. These are her parents! Yes, Lynn is the one with the amazing car :) We had so much fun at Ashelyn's session that Lisa + Lynn scheduled a session for themselves! I love this idea. We had fun hanging out and shooting and now Lynn and Lisa have new, updated photos of themselves to hang in the house! I'm hoping to do something like this with my parents sometime :)

Liz's Bridal Session

Liz and Travis were married this past weekend at a beautiful intimate ceremony in Thomasville, NC. Since Liz is a married woman now, I can share her bridal session! I love the location that we found... a neighbor's yard! He was so nice to allow us to shoot there all afternoon and the property was gorgeous.

Just check out that beautiful afternoon light!

I brought these heart cut-outs to play with... they just seemed perfect for Liz! Her wedding colors were hot pink and green and the whole bridal session reflected those colors.

We finished up the session by this adorable old truck. Liz, thanks for being such a trooper in your wedding dress! You were awesome. Stay tuned for the wedding post later this week!

Gabby's "Just Because" session

I am so pumped right now. Today is the first wedding of the season for me and starts a long string of booked up weekends. It's exciting and scary at the same time... but mostly exciting. It has been so amazing to see my business grow and I can't wait to photograph all my 2010 clients!

Now, this cute little thing is Gabby. We go to church together and have become good friends over the past semester. Alaina (my 2nd shooter and sister) and I took her out Friday afternoon for a shoot... "just because". The weather was so weird during our shoot and ended up pouring rain right before we got to the car. Thanks for being such a trooper and a beautiful model, Gabby!

This is one of the first images Alaina shot. I love it!

003

I told Gabby to wear a dress or skirt for the shoot. She picked the perfect outfit! I love how the purple stands out in all the photos.

Gabby's freckles are the best! I love the summer when all my freckles come out :)

I think we had Gabby spin around a little too much. She was pretty dizzy at the end of this little series.

I love this angle that Alaina shot. Gabby looks totally comfy laying in the grass, even though it was full of little sticks and poky plants!

I want to print this on a big canvas and hang it up in my house somewhere.
