Katie + Patrick : Charlotte, NC

I met Katie and Patrick in their hometown of Charlotte, NC for their engagement session. They had chosen some great locations for us to shoot! We got to visit the place where they met, their historic neighborhood, and places they love to hang out. It makes the session so much better when the couple helps choose locations that mean something to them :)

We started out at Alexander Michael's, Katie and Patrick's favorite place to eat. They weren't open at the time but were kind enough to let us shoot inside for a little while.

We then walked across the street in Katie's historic neighborhood to this incredible house. The colors made a great backdrop!

This is Patrick and Katie's sweet puppy... she was so excited the whole time we were shooting. Such a cutie!

I love this cute little family portrait :)

Patrick loves playing tennis and, from what Katie told me, he's really great at it. They brought these antique tennis rackets for props.

I think this one is so cute and romantic :)

This is outside the Irish pub, Rira, where Katie and Patrick met. It looked awesome... too bad it was closed when we went by!

We stopped at McGill rose garden for a few minutes. It was so incredibly beautiful!

We were just about to jump in the car to head to our next location when I spotted this wall across the street. I'm so glad we took a couple of minutes to shoot here! I think the blue is stunning.

Katie had this location on our itinerary for the shoot... we were so happy to find that the mural hadn't been filled in yet. I love all these lines.

Last stop was the Neighborhood Theatre. I love this place as a backdrop. The mismatched letters are so unique and fun!

Katie + Patrick, thanks for the tour of Charlotte! I really enjoyed it and wish I could have stayed to eat at Alexander Michael's with you :) Maybe next time!
