Mother's Day Giveaway : Results!

Thank you again to everyone who entered the Mother's Day Session Giveaway. I received so many touching and adorable entries that I decided to have two winners! I pulled one name from a hat, then numbered the other entries and had my mom pick a number for the second winner.

With that said, the two moms are Rose Bate (entered by her daughter, Elisa Bate), and April Hopkins (entered by her daughter, Louisa Hopkins)!
Congratulations! I can't wait to shoot these two beautiful families and share the images with you all!

I'll leave you with some of my favorite excerpts from the entries I received:

"...You can be a mom to someone without ever giving birth to them. My Mum meets this definition of momhood too. Not only does she have two biological children (my brother and I), but she's "adopted" a half-dozen twenty-something college kids -- filling the space(s) their 'real' moms have left empty, offering hugs and love and everything that a Mom needs to offer. These 'extra children' call her "Mom" and know they can look to her for anything..."

"...I am thankful for my mom. She and my dad were married for over 30 years before my dad passed away in 2006. Over the past two years, I have watched my mom learn how to redefine herself without my dad. She has started a graduate program and learned how to do difficult paperwork and tackled unfamiliar computer programs. Meanwhile, she has also grown more confident about her career and her abilities. I have learned so much from her about life and faith and taking things one step at a time..."

"...She is not scared to get really goofy with us. Often she prompts the goofiness and laughter always follows. The funny faces, crazy songs and oh the dancing - she instills humor in us.Our Mommy is the most compassionate, caring and wonderfully goofy mommy in the whole world..."

I plan on having specials and giveaways a lot more often, so keep checking back for more. And Happy Mother's Day!
