Wow, where to start with this session?! I've known Abby for years, and Josh even longer than that! Needless to say, I was super excited when they got engaged and Josh called to ask me to do their engagement session a couple of days after he put the ring on Abby's finger.
Second, I chose way too many images for this post. I couldn't help it! I am totally in love with every one of their images and I know a ton of people that are looking forward to this post. Plus it's my blog so I can do whatever I want, right?
We started their session at Old Salem on a gorgeous and unusually warm fall day.
They are always laughing about something. It's so cute and makes me really happy.
I think they both have great eyes.
I love walking around and finding cute little places to shoot, like this walkway that I hadn't seen before.
How amazing are these leaves? I love the color and shape of them. Does anyone know what kind of tree they are from?
I like getting little moments like this. Abby asked Josh to pull the leaves out of her hair when they sat up.
Thanks to Josh for holding my camera while I climbed this tree... and again when I had to jump down.
The ring :)
There are so many awesome places to shoot in Old Salem!
I want this picture on a big canvas in my office.
After Josh and Abby changed clothes we went to the Arts District of downtown Winston Salem
I found these mustaches in a vending machine at my grocery store. I was so excited to be able to use them in Josh and Abby's session. We were all laughing so hard!
Josh wanted to take some pictures on a city bus... GREAT idea! I loved it.
I love Abby's hands in this image. There's something about this photo that's just so soft and romantic.
I think Josh looks so awesome right here.
And now a few of the shots I took while Abby & Josh were laughing...
Seriously. Cute, cute, cute.

Alexa.. Absolutely amazing. I love all of them.
Amazing job Alexa! LOVE IT! Melli was right, those yellow leaves are from the Ginkgo biloba tree. They are so beautiful. What a wonderful couple. It makes me want to do engagement portraits again with you! How many hours did you spend with them?
Beautiful pictures, Alexa! I like each one of your posts better than the next :).
