Kim + Brian : Engagement Session!

Welcome Kim and Brian to the blog! They traveled two and a half hours for their engagement session in Greensboro and, I have to admit, I was a little nervous about shooting two engagement sessions in the same location in a week! But Kim + Brian's session is totally different, and fun, and just... them. Enjoy!

I just have to say, Kim, you have gorgeous hair!









We waited for this train to pass for a few minutes before the idea hit me to use it as a backdrop. It was so funny trying to yell instructions over the noise of the train!












I love this little series. I think Kim got kind of dizzy near the end, good thing Brian was there to help her stay up!







Love this dramatic lighting.









Brian and Kim love the city so we did part of the session on top of a parking deck to get the skyline in the background.







Oh, these balloons. They were so uncooperative! It didn't matter which way we turned, the balloons were constantly blowing in Kim and Brian's faces. I love the way Brian is trying to hold really still so the balloons wouldn't go anywhere.







Kim and Brian, you guys are great. I can't wait to shoot your wedding in June!

Little Madison : NC Baby Photography

Meet sweet little Madison. Her mom, Jamie, was one of three pregnant bridesmaids at Kristin + Spence's wedding in October. I was so excited to meet her little girl! Madison was so sweet the entire time and hardly cried! I know Jamie is a proud mommy :) Enjoy the photos!

Engaged! MK + David

I've known Mary Katherine and David separately for years and when I heard they were a couple, I couldn't see it for some reason. I thought "they don't really go together", you know?

I couldn't be more wrong. David and MK are absolutely and completely perfect for each other. They are both so passionate, so full of life, and so totally in love! I had an amazing time with you both on Sunday. Thanks for being awesome, and for calling AAA when I locked my keys in the car.








I want to say that this is one of my favorites - but if I start naming favorites I'll be commenting on every image! I just think this one is so romantic and so telling of how comfortable and close they are with each other.







David is also a photographer! I thought it'd be fun to incorporate these vintage cameras into the shoot :)







I was totally hoping for sun during the shoot but we had this incredible mix of clouds and spots of sunshine that made it even better!
