These are some of my oldest friends. I was so honored to be able to shoot a family session with Dustin, Glenna and their sweet babies, Adam and Lily, while they were in town for a little while last week.
I mean really, what a cute family!
Deanna makes a beautiful Grandma!
I love this shot. It shows the chaos that usually comes before and after the "family portrait".
I love how Lily and Dustin have the same mischievous smirk in this photo! They look like they have a secret.
I lived with David + Deanna while I was in photography school. I'm surprised they put up with me for so long! They are like second parents to me and make awesome grandparents, too!
Adam likes to give kisses to Lily. So sweet!

Susan + Jason : Engagement Session!
Susan + Jason are awesome! I knew it was going to be a great session when they suggested we climb over a gate for a photo. I was right! They are so crazy in love and ran all over downtown High Point with me in the hot sun for the shoot. I think it was totally worth it.
Look at this amazing ring! I think it fits Susan perfectly.
Love love love this. Maybe my favorite shot of the day.
They told me right after this shot that the ledge they were sitting on was burning up! Sorry guys!
We stopped at a bed and breakfast to dress up a little and do some indoor shooting.
Another favorite.
I love couples in love! Susan + Jason : Thanks for being yourselves and letting me have the honor of doing your engagement photos. I'm excited for the wedding in September!

Liz + Travis : Engagement Session!
I love shooting sessions with friends. I know them, they know me, it's so relaxed... That's how it was when Liz, Travis and I drove down to Concord for their engagement session last week. We had so much fun! Even though the Memorial Gardens turned out to be part cemetery, and Travis and I were a little more nervous than Liz when we were inside the pasture at the horse farm. It was still great! Here are some of my favorites from the session.
We started at the Memorial Gardens in Concord and had the whole place to ourselves!
I love the simple romance of this picture.
I just think they are so cute together! How do I get so lucky with such adorable couples?!
We were all pretty nervous about putting the ring in a pond full of fish, but nothing ate it and the ring got safely back to Liz's finger.
After the gardens we headed to a friend's horse farm. The light was so perfect at this point.
I think at this point Travis was comfortable with the camera. Look at him workin' it!
Liz + Travis : I so enjoyed the long trek to Concord with you both. And thanks for dinner! I can't wait to shoot your wedding in October.
