Since we didn't get to do any awesome photos of Meredith and Seth at the wedding because of time constraints, we scheduled a "day after" session and had a whole afternoon for doing portraits. It was amazing!! Here's a sneak peek :
I'll be back later with a full post and an explanation of when and why Day After sessions are important.

Family Sessions
Happy Thanksgiving week! I am so excited about Thursday. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday and I can't wait to spend Wednesday cooking and baking with my family and Thursday with Jonathan's family in South Carolina. My husband, however, is more excited about Christmas. I'm pretty sure Jonathan is going to set up our Christmas tree the second we get home from SC Thursday night. He spent yesterday cleaning up the living room and rearranging to make space for the tree and pulled ornaments out of the closet to sit in the "tree corner" and await Thursday night. All of his excitement and preparation got me thinking about Christmas and how it really is right around the corner, which means it's time for family sessions! If you'd like to include a photo in your Christmas cards this year, now is the time to have those photos taken. I'm offering 15% off for the first three people that book a family session, starting now. If you'd like more information on family sessions you can visit my website, or shoot me an e-mail at : alexa.photo@gmail.com
And because posts aren't fun without pictures, here's one that I like.
I shot this while Jonathan and I were on a walk at Bur-Mil park. It had just rained and I love how the cracks soaked up the water and made those awesome lines.

Meredith + Seth : The Wedding
Here it is! Meredith & Seth's wedding marked the end of my 2009 wedding season. I'm excited for the holidays and vacation and designing albums but am STOKED to start shooting weddings again in 2010. I've got some amazing couples, locations, and shoots lined up and I can't wait to share :)
Meredith and her girls started getting ready in the O'Henry hotel. Alaina and I had so much fun hanging out with them!
Meredith's mom, Gina, helped with hair and makeup. Her laugh is contagious, we were cracking up the whole time!
Meredith, you're so gorgeous!
Alaina and I got to shoot with Seth for a few minutes before the ceremony.
Botanica Florist did a beautiful job on the flowers.
Meredith was totally beaming as she walked down the aisle. It was so exciting!
I'm so happy I caught this cute glance between the bride and groom.
This was one of the most fun ceremonies I've ever seen. Meredith and Seth played rock, paper, scissors to decide if Meredith should say "I do".
This is one of my favorite images. I love how everyone is looking at Meredith and how she's in mid-step.
I love that Meredith displayed a bunch of small bridal portraits at the reception instead of one big one. It was so cute!
This card was from a student at the school where Meredith teaches. Great advice!
The cake was from Cakes by Manfred and man, it was delicious.
I love how Seth is messing with his ring in this photo.
The bubble exit was so fun!
Everyone send "get well" wishes to Seth who got sick as soon as they got back from their honeymoon in Cancun. Enjoy the images!
